Which materials are part of the WECARE programme?
A material that is part of the WECARE programme is a material that reduces the impact of the textile industry on the environment. At Etam, we have categorized them in 3 ways:
- Organic or recycled natural fibres, such as organic cotton, responsible or recycled linen and wool.
- Responsible man-made fibres, which are derived from the chemical transformation of natural plant or animal fibres, such as viscose and cupro.
- Recycled synthetic fibres, such as recycled polyester, produced from recycled plastic waste, recycled polyamide, which comes from recycled production waste...
The materials selected are certified by independent standards such as GOTS, GRS, RWS, labels that guarantee total traceability from the raw material.
